Red Light Therapy in Malibu

What it is, how we use it, and what to expect

We’re sharing a closer look at red light therapy, a non-invasive modality using specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light, incorporated at Zuma Wellness as a steady and supportive part of care.

Our red light device also uniquely incorporates blue and amber light wavelengths for an additional health boost.

Red light therapy is something we offer thoughtfully alongside other therapies, depending on the individual and what they’re working toward.

In practice, it’s most often used to support:

  • Skin health and overall tone and texture
  • Circulation and tissue recovery
  • Inflammation reduction and muscle/ joint comfort
  • Cellular energy and repair processes
  • General recovery and resilience

Red light therapy isn’t a standalone solution, and it’s not one-size-fits-all, but it tends to be well tolerated and easy to integrate over time.

At Zuma Wellness, we offer a wide 4-panel red light therapy device over a private treatment table, allowing for a comfortable, reclined, full-body experience. Lying down during the session is a restorative way to spend time with the therapy, and a great way to fully settle in and relax for a few precious minutes during your day.

As a reminder, we also include an optional 10-minute vibration plate session before or after your red light therapy at no additional charge. We find this pairs well with red light therapy and can further support circulation and lymphatic movement to enhance the health effects of your therapeutic visit with us.

Have questions? As always, we’re here to help you think through what makes sense for you and how different therapies may fit into your care.
